Performances: 9th to 13th April 2024
On the night of his 35th birthday, Robert struggles to think of a wish to make as he blows out the candles on his cake. Surrounded by his married friends, Robert ponders his own bachelorhood and wonders if he should wish for a romantic partner of his own. Through a series of dinner parties, first dates, and thoughtful conversations, often with hilarious repercussions, Robert attempts to understand the pros and cons of marriage and to make sense of his own existence. Company, Stephen Sondheim’s groundbreaking musical, is a glorious look at relationships, the impact people have on each other and simply, to quote the shows final number, “being alive”.
