Alan Bennett’s A Private Function is given the musical comedy treatment in this hilarious and touching tale of Austerity 1940’s Britain. It earned a Laurence Olivier Award Nomination for Best New Musical when it opened in London in 2011. Set to a backdrop of an impending Royal wedding, a town’s celebration, a chiropodist who just wants to keep his wife happy and of course a delectable, beautiful, portly, blue-eyed pig whose future is uncertain with the town’s fast approaching banquet; our Betty.
