Sunshine on Leith

Performances: 14th to 18th April 2026

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Edinburgh with unforgettable songs by The Proclaimers, Sunshine on Leith follows the lives of two soldiers returning home from Afghanistan to the challenges of civilian life. Ally rekindles his romance with Davy’s sister, Liz, while Davy finds new love with Liz’s nursing colleague, Yvonne. Their relationships are tested by the challenges of readjusting to everyday routines and the secrets they carry from their time abroad. Amidst the joy and struggles, they rediscover the strength of family bonds and the power of love. Filled with familiar hits like I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), Letter from America and Sunshine on Leith, along with gorgeous lesser-known numbers such as Make My Heart Fly and Misty Blue, this show captures the essence of resilience and the unbreakable spirit of the human heart. Sunshine on Leith promises a night of emotional highs and unforgettable music.
